Healthcare Simulation week is a celebration on how professionals are being educated through simulation to improve patient care and safety.

9:00 am to 10:00 am Naloxone Training Session
Location: STEPS
Do you know how to help someone you suspect has overdosed on opioids?  Do you know how to recognize an Opioid overdose?  In this course, you will learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose as well as how to give naloxone to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
 
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm Simulation Challenge
Location:  STEPS
Open to all disciplines: From beginners to advanced, come and have fun competing while performing simulation skills on our various trainers. Prizes will be awarded.

Location:  STEPS
Experience the world of healthcare simulation first hand in STEPS.  Interact with a high fidelity manikin, dissect a virtual manikin, and look inside a virtual heart using ultrasound. See how healthcare providers are acquiring the skills needed to care for you.
